Welcome to the
Santa Cause!

“Santa Cause” is a super charity, which supports existing charities in Walworth County referred to as: “The Charities of Christmas” & performs Random Acts of Kindness throughout our community.

5th Annual Tree Festival Cancelled due to Covid.

The 4th Annual Santa Cause Tree Festival was held from November 29th through January 4th in Williams Bay, WI.  This season $100,000 was raised for the Charities of Christmas from the tree festival, freezin for a reason, and sponsorships with the checks sent out in early April.  The Charities of Christmas consist of Boys & Girls Club of Walworth County, Norman Barr Camp, Water Safety Patrol, Agape Home and School, Circle of Friends, Dan Green’s Touch a Life, Heal a Heart, Inc., Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central Wisconsin, and Tree House Child and Family Center.

There will be no photos released of the check presentation to abide by the current orders put in place.  During these times it is important to continue to support each other and those that do good in our community.

This year’s success is possible because of the business, restaurant and personal sponsors, freezin for a reason, founding families and individuals who participate and support through donations and purchases.  There has been over $365,000 raised and donated to the charities over the past four years.

Help support the Charities of Christmas by making a tax-free contribution today!

Join us at the “Tree Festival”

Each charity creates a themed winter wonderland by first decorating a Christmas tree.  Next, they surround their tree with an abundance of marvelous prizes, all based on their selected theme.  When visitors attend the “Tree Festival” they can purchase raffle tickets to enter into any of the “Twelve Charities of Christmas” raffle boxes.  They have a chance to win the grand prize and/or many other prizes. (Last year’s prizes included a trip to Hawaii, Florida, a moped, large screen TV, and much, much more!)

100% of the “Tree Festival” proceeds go directly to the charities.

How does this affect you as a potential business sponsor?  Angel and Snowmen Sponsors will have a marketing table at the “Tree Festival” to advertise their businesses and display marketing materials.

The fun filled day includes winter watersports, food and beverage specials, raffles, and an auction. Weather permitting. The Grand Belle will be docked and available for spectators to board and have a birds eye view of the event. There are several warming stations and a hot tub on the pier for participants. The event, which has garnered television and newspaper coverage over the years, has grown its participants to around 100, with more than 250 spectators and supporters cheering them on. Over $20,000.00 has been raised in past years, with hopes to raise $30,000.00 this year. Hosting Sponsor Santa Cause will provide dry suits, although many participants bring their own equipment. Gage Marine will provide boats, skis, tubes, boards, changing tents, towels, and a hot tub to warm up for participants. For more information, please visit our website:  https://freezinlakegeneva.org
